Private events in North Bethesda

Savoy is for private events only: invited guests only, not posted or advertised publicly, no paid entry, and nothing sold at the event. If we find out an event is public, we will shut it down, even in the middle of the event, with no refund (the damage deposit is returned if there is no damage). Outside catering, food and drinks are welcome. We do not sell or serve alcohol; you are welcome to bring your own, served only to guests 21 and over under Maryland law. No glitter, sprinkles or confetti, please. All food, drinks and containers you bring must leave with you at the end of the event. Nothing may be taped or stuck to the walls or floors. Please respect our neighbors and keep the party inside the venue. To help everyone wrap up on time, music is turned off 30 minutes before your booking ends, giving your guests a relaxed window to say goodbye and pack up.

Your booking is one time block for everything, so setup, your event and move out all happen within the hours you reserve. Setup and move out time is not free extra time, so please include it when you book. Most events need about 1 to 1.5 hours to set up and about 1 hour to pack up. Music is turned off 30 minutes before your end time so there is time to wrap up comfortably. For move out, just take everything you brought; the $250 cleaning fee covers the rest.

Yes. Bring your own caterer, food and drinks. We set a table as your bar station and can provide a bartender or servers on request. Guest DJs bring their own equipment, or add our DJ sound system to plug into the house speakers.

The room itself, three 6 ft serving tables with black linens, restrooms, fridge space and free Wi-Fi. Everything else is an add on, including chairs and tables, the DJ sound system, microphones, lounge sofas, high top tables, piano, linens, red carpet, balloons and staff. You only pay for what your event actually uses.

A DJ plugs into our speakers, subwoofer and mixer and runs them at full volume for hours, so the system needs extra setup, testing and care. Charging only the events that use it keeps the base price lower for everyone else. Background music from your phone is simple to connect.

A 3,000 sq ft gallery style space for up to 100 guests at standing, networking and mingling events. Seated, we comfortably fit up to 70 guests with round tables and white Chiavari chairs.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday, events run from 8 AM until 2 AM. Monday through Thursday, events run from 3:30 PM to midnight. Every hour after midnight is $300, cleanup and move out included.

There is a prep kitchen with a sink, microwave, counter space and fridges for your food and drinks. You are welcome to warm and plate food, but cooking is not allowed. Most guests bring in a caterer.

Yes, and it is free. There are about 37 spots right in front of the building, and after 7 PM the whole plaza opens up with more than 100 additional spaces.

Yes. Balloons and freestanding, removable decor are welcome. Nothing flammable, and nothing taped, nailed or stuck to the walls or floors. Please, no glitter, sprinkles or confetti.

No. Savoy hosts private events only. A private event is one where you invite every guest yourself (by text, call, email or a personal invitation) and know who is coming, like a birthday, shower, wedding reception, family gathering or a company party for your own team and clients. A public event is one people you did not invite can find and attend, or that makes money: posted on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or an event site, promoted by a promoter or DJ, ticketed, charging for entry or a cover, or selling drinks or anything else. Club nights, day parties and paid entry parties are public. A public post counts even if it was made by mistake, deleted later, or posted by one of your guests. If we find out an event is public, we will shut it down, even in the middle of the event, and no money is refunded, except the damage deposit, which is returned if there is no damage. Yes, Friday to Sunday until 2 AM. Hours until midnight are the regular $199 rate, and every hour after midnight is $300, cleanup and move out included, so let us know your end time when you book.

Yes. Savoy is on the first floor with a step free, wheelchair accessible entrance and accessible parking. The restrooms are not fully ADA accessible, so let us know if anyone in your group needs help.

$500 of the venue rental fee is a non refundable booking fee (half the venue rental fee if it is under $1,000). It is part of your venue rental fee, not an extra charge. Cancel 30 or more days before your event for a refund of everything else. Between 14 and 30 days, you receive a 50% refund of the venue rental fee. Within 14 days of the event, the venue rental fee is non refundable. You get a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours of booking and the event is more than 14 days away, and you can move your date once, within 12 months, instead of cancelling. A refundable $500 damage deposit is required for every booking and is returned after the event if there is no damage.
